Handel - Arien und Tanzsaitze aus Operen und Oratorien - 2 Alto Recorders
The extraordinary popularity of George Frideric Handel's music in 18th century England was reflected not least in a wealth of arrangements of his most popular arias and dance movements from operas and oratorios for a wide variety of instruments and combinations of instruments. The present edition is based on two contemporary sources for two transverse flutes, which were transposed up a minor third for performance with 2 alto recorders in accordance with the practice of the time.
