Mozart - Piano Concerto No. 24 in C, K. 491 - 2 Pianos, 4 Hands

The present edition of the solo part and piano reduction of the orchestral accompaniment is based on the Neue Mozart-Ausgabe, which in turn follows Mozart’s autograph score. Our edition contains nothing that is not in Mozart’s own hand and does not include any of the contemporary and later additions of which the manuscript is unusually rich. The one exception are the tempo indications, entered in an unidentified hand but authenticated by Mozart’s manuscript catalogue of his works in the case of the first movement, and by a contemporary copy (probably made at Mozart’s request) from Kromìøíz¡ (Kremsier) in the case of the remaining movements.
